Anyone feeling left out that they’ve not been invited to the wedding of the year, have a chance to experience a wedding with a difference at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 10 and 11 May.
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on the horizon, The Wedding Reception is a wacky, immersive comedy, guaranteed to be nothing like the upcoming royal nuptials.
Packing 5-star reviews from London’s West End and Edinburgh Fringe, this brilliant immersive comedy promises love, honour and much disarray.
The Wedding Reception sees Kate and Will expecting a small party to celebrate their wedding – but Kate’s mum has other plans. With uninvited guests, misbehaving family and secrets better left in the closet, this unbeatable comedy is a side-splitting theatrical experience featuring four actors in multiple madcap roles in a whirlwind of laughter, love and tears. The evening includes a sit-down meal and maybe even some dancing.
The Wedding Reception is an immersive comedy written and produced by Interactive Theatre International, the people behind Faulty Towers The Dining Experience – a show which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. It’s an original piece that has toured Australia, UK and Ireland and now plays regularly in London’s Covent Garden.
The Wedding Reception is at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on Thu 10 and Fri 11 May at 7pm. Tickets cost £50 and include a three-course meal.
