Setting off in his trusty Honda Civic, Kevan and his three amigos had two full days of meetings and presentations with agents from along the South Coast and South West. Agents visited included In2Events, GoTo Events, Venue & Hotel Finders & Brief 2 Events.
The main premise of the trip was to meet with conference bookers who may not have been aware of their venues, and to talk through why hopefully, they can recommend them in the future when discussing potential events with their clients.
“It was great to be able to see four agencies across the three days and to spend a good amount of time at each visit. As these particular agencies are so far away from our venue it saved a lot of time (and money!) to see them all over two days rather than making the trip to see them individually. I also learnt a lot about the other Trident Venues on the trip which was really useful. Thank you for organising Kevan!” Samantha Martin, Business Development Manager, Wyboston Lakes‘
“It’s always good to get out of the office but even better when we get to visit agents in their offices. It was really lovely to meet everyone and get a better understanding of their clients’ needs. To have the opportunity to sell our venue to agents who may or may not know us is really good and helps us to build relationships with each other. I cannot wait for the next one!” Teresa Riley, Sales and Events Manager, Friends House, London
“The road trip was a great way to meet with a number of different agencies in a short space of time to update them on the latest news from Millennium Point. It was a very positive couple of days and was well received by the agents we met & we are hopeful that it will generate enquiries for us moving forwards.” Sales Manager at Millennium Point, Birmingham
After a couple of days of hard work and meeting some great agents along the way, the merry band said their goodbyes and headed back to their respective homes knowing that they had spread the word and love about their own particular venue.
Here’s to the next one!
