At Trident we enjoy visiting our partner venues throughout the UK, but Kevan and Martin were both extra excited about meeting the teams at Ibrox in Glasgow and Murryfield Stadium in Edinburgh. After a five hour drive from their midlands base, the driving rain suddenly halted and the sun came out just as the Rangers Stadium came into view. The venue is a traditional football stadium with plenty of free car parking and very accessible from the motorway.
We met the General Manger Gillian, who showed us around the facilities and we were suitably impressed – plenty of rooms with natural daylight and ideal for training and conferences up to 150.
Following our time at Ibrox we got back on the road and headed 40 miles to Edinburgh in the Tridentmobile. We were met at Murryfield Stadium by Harley and James who took us on a tour of their excellent stadium which can hold a wide range of meetings – in fact up to 50,000 if you’re using the stadium – weather permitting of course!
Following an overnight stay at Berwick upon Tweed, the dynamic due then met up at the super agent ‘Hospitality Guaranteed’ in Stockton Tees. They were joined by some stars from Elior Stadia, including Harley from Murryfield Stadium, Ythan and Natalie from Durham Riverside Stadium, Andrew at Stadium of Light Stadium along with Tracey who was representing the Ibrox & AJ Bell Stadiums.
Kevan and Martin then met Sharon, James and all the team at Hospitality Guaranteed and presented the wonderful stadiums to their guests in an informal but professional manner. The agents also enjoyed the delicious food and drink buffet lunch provided by the Elior kitchens.
All in all, it was a terrific couple of days, giving the Trident team the chance to meet some great people, see superb venues and drive over 750 miles in Kev’s car!
If you would like further information on any of the venues listed above or would like to arrange a visit to view the facilities please contact Martin or Kevan at Trident.
