Located in London’s very fashionable west end, the Royal Institution (RI) hosted Martin and Kevan from Trident Hospitality Consultants as they provided training to staff from RI and other Elior venues located in the capital.

The day was a mixture of chalk and talk, discussions, Q&A’s, group activities and a starring role from Mark Bevan from Venues & Events International. After talking about his role and that of his agency, Mark answered various probing questions from delegates in their quest to learn how they can work with conference agents. It was a very honest discussion and Mark’s industry experience helped support the presentations that the Trident duo had been working on.

Trident’s Managing Director Kevan Holland thought the day was a great opportunity to meet the teams: “It was a great chance to help encourage and pass on knowledge about how to get venues in front of the hundreds of UK agencies and promote their excellent facilities,” Kevan said. “It was a very worthwhile day and the teams at Elior are enthusiastic with some great properties to showcase.’

Located just a few minutes from Green Park station, the RI has a variety of stunning Georgian and contemporary rooms including a 400 seat theatre. Perfect for all kinds of events, from conferences and meetings, to drinks receptions and parties.

Clare Gardner, Director of Operations at the Royal Institute said: “Kevan and Martin ran a great session - we were able to get an agents’ perspective and lots of practical advice on how to communicate more effectively with them in the future.”
