Trident's Birmingham Fam Trip 2017

The weekend saw agents travel to Birmingham to discover three of Trident's partner venues including a performance of The Who themed musical, 'Tommy'...



More than 10 conference agents attended a Birmingham Fam Trip weekend organised by the award-winning Trident Hospitality Consultants recently.

The weekend offered delegates a chance to explore Birmingham, understand the history surrounding some of its most iconic venues and of course, sample some delicious local food and drink!

Guests were kindly hosted at the Copthorne Hotel, Park Regis Hotel and the new Holiday Inn Express all located in Birmingham city centre. After arriving and checking into their designated accommodation on the Friday evening, guests joined together at the ‘1565 Bar’ at the Park Regis Hotel for a welcome dinner.

The first venue on the weekend’s itinerary was the Birmingham Town Hall where guests were given a private tour on the Saturday morning before taking part in an interactive music event which meant everyone learning to play the African drums in very quick time - but 'what fun' !!.

In the evening guests were treated to a full tour of the Birmingham Rep Theatre, followed by drinks and dinner in anticipation of The Who themed musical, ‘Tommy.’ After the performance, guests enjoyed drinks and nibbles at the Copthorne Hotel before being free to sample the Birmingham nightlife. 

Sunday morning could only mean one thing on a Birmingham Fam Trip – Austin Court’s famous breakfast and interactive quiz. Guests were awarded prizes for the best use of the Fam Trip themed Twitter hashtag ‘#WHOknowsBirmingham’, before having the rest of the afternoon to independently explore what the rest of the city had to offer including the Bull Ring Shopping Centre, the fantastic  Library and the glam new Grand Central at Birmingham New Street Station.
