Bedford Lodge invests £600k in hotel

The hotel's main suite and health & fitness club, in Newmarket, have both been redeveloped as Bedford Lodge invests £600,000 to improve its facilities

Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa has completed its £600,000 investment project refurbishing The Classics Suite and The Edge Health and Fitness Club.

The hotel allocated £300,000 for renovating the main conferencing room of the hotel, The Classics Suite, in September last year. The room, which holds up to 180 guests, has been given a fresh look and fitted with a new AV system and equipment, including Bose speakers throughout and ceiling-mounted projectors. It has been gutted from ceiling to floor, with back lighted ceiling coffers and large, modern crystal chandeliers.

The entrance to the Classics Suite, the Classics Bar, has been completely rebuilt. It has been refurnished in order to make use of the natural light. The walls have been redecorated with black and white sketching of racing inspired scenes and all furniture has been replaced with stylish chairs and loungers.

The gym facilities at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa have also been upgraded, after the hotel set aside £300,000 to improve The Edge Health and Fitness Club. The new equipment includes treadmills, ‘stair climbers’ and a range of cardio training and strength improvement equipment.

Noel Byrne, Chief Executive at Bedford Lodge Hotel, says: “The hotel was recently upgraded by the AA from four Black Stars to four Red Stars in recognition of our excellent quality service and standards.

“We felt strongly that to follow our luxury ethos it was time for a change with our gym facilities.

“We believe it is truly an investment worth making for our members. The new equipment helps to make workouts fun, enjoyable and motivational for all ages and abilities,” Noel said.
