The Speech House has special visitor

The hotel recently treated one very little star to a day of fine dining and relaxation...

The Speech House Hotel recently had a famous visitor drop in for some afternoon tea.

As part of his pre-movie release tour, Paddington Bear was shown around the family-run hotel, before being treated to some delicious food in the Historic Verderers Court.

As all bears like to do after eating (and actually a quite lot of humans), he had a post-feast snooze on one of The Speech House’s antique four poster beds.

The Walnut bed (pictured below) dates back to roughly 1840 and was once in the home of the Crawshea family estate in Gloucestershire.  It is made out of hand carved walnut and measures 7 ‘ x 7 ‘, standing 12 foot high.

Paddington Bear left The Speech House feeling rested, pampered and ready to return to his hectic life of a star.
